Muriel
B. Glode, LICSW, received a Masters of Social Work
Degree from Boston University Graduate School of
Social Work in Boston 2004.
While at the
Department of Veterans Affairs she counseled
veterans with a variety of trauma-related issues and
co-led anger management groups. She also has
extensive professional experience working with
child, adolescent and adult populations in a variety
of mental health agencies.
Some of the other
populations that Muriel has served include
individuals with chronic illness, extreme poverty
and severe behavioral problems.
Susan
Lynne Hartnett, ACSW, LICSW, received a Masters of Social
Work Degree from the University of Pennsylvania,
School of Social Work, with a family specialization
in 1982.
She is skilled in
the development of supportive relationships
addressing the needs of children and adolescents
with physical, psychiatric, learning disorders and
developmental disabilities. She has extensive
experience with child welfare, the juvenile justice
system, addictions, crisis management, school and
vocational rehabilitation, family and marital
therapy.
Pamela Kanopkin, MSW, LICSW, BCD, received her Masters
Degree in Social Work from Rhode Island College and
she is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical
Social Work (BCD). Her psychotherapeutic and
professional training includes specializations in
working with children and adult populations in
mental health agencies and private practice
settings. She has extensive clinical experience in
addressing women's issues, depressive disorders,
mood/affective disorders, panic and anxiety
disorders, obsessive disorders, domestic violence,
addictive disorders, substance abuse and the
treatment of trauma.
Dr. Larry Weiner
received his Ed.D. in Psychology and Special
Education from Syracuse University in l962. He
utilizes a short-term, brief-solution focus
approach to therapy. Dr. Weiner has nearly fifty
years of experience covering most major areas of
psychological intervention including teaching and
supervising at the graduate level at the University
of Rhode Island, Rhode Island College, Salve Regina,
and the University of Connecticut. He currently
provides treatment to all age groups especially
geriatric and special needs populations.
Catherine Wharton, MSN, RN, CNS, MA, CAGS, LCMHC
received a Masters Degree in Holistic Mental Health
Counseling from Salve Regina University in 2005 and
a certificate of advanced graduate study in
Transpersonal Psychology in 2007 She also received
her Master's Degree in Critical Care Nursing from
The University of Texas in 1992 after earning her
Bachelor's Degree from Georgetown University in
1990. She has vast experience within acute care
settings with grief and bereavement, PTSD, emotional
abuse, anxiety, depression and holistic mind-body
care. She is specialized in Energy Healing (Karuna
Reiki Master) and is often called upon to present
programs geared towards stress management, reframing
thinking back to positive, advanced spiritual care
and nurturing the soul for advanced healing. Both
academic and holistic, she can treat disorders
related to acute or chronic physical conditions
which have emotional components. She is the CNS for
Kent Hospital's Critical Incident Stress Management
Team and has over 20 years of experience in caring
for the physiological and emotional conditions of
people of all ages.
Mary Lou Votto,
ACSW, LICSW, received a Masters of Social Work
from Rhode Island College (RIC) in 1985. She is
skilled working with children, adolescence, adults,
couples and groups. Mary Lou has over 20 years of
professional experience in Rhode Island affording
her the knowledge of community resources. Her
psychotherapy training includes specializations with
women's issues, gender issues, eating disorders,
obsessive compulsive disorders, learning disorders,
depression, anxiety and trauma. Mary Lou was the
recipient of the National Association of Social Work
(NASW) 2009 Social Worker of the Year in School
Social Work.

Diane Hicks, Practice Support Manager. Diana
is the contact person for all incoming intakes and
manages the business office.
